I have made my first prototype set of front recovery points for non trailhawk renegade. I plan on refining the design and will offer some for sale for anyone interested in a pair. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDuwI26gtxd/?igshid=1ew7yput9pica https://www.instagram.com/p/CDtwiQ1J3xO/?igshid=1ur6esoc0b2c6 https://www.instagram.com/p/CDpmfeQgo6x/?igshid=18drsgsk6oor2 https://www.instagram.com/p/CD9OYXzgeLw/?igshid=1ll0p99scdp4e
Nice job. They definitely look like they will do the job. You may have solved one of the biggest problems with non-TH models, recovery points without replacing the bumper.
I started working on a second (mk 2) set. Going to be some good revisions in it. I'm looking to see if anyone would want a set with hooks instead of the d rings? I'm going to build at least 1 side to get an idea of how they would look.
Almost done mocking up my revised design. Ultimately I want to have my parts plasma or water jet cut and then i can just weld everything up instead of doing all my cuts by hand then weld it. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEmhtV-Aw93/?igshid=a89k71ub086s
Super interested but where are they sitting in the empty space squre boxes below the fogs I have 2 in pods running there
Been meaning to ask: do you have a 2.4L or a 1.4/1.3L? I'm curious how these fit with the intercooler.
Nice! If you're still prototyping, I have a suggestion. Consider instead of permanently-attached hooks, how about some kind of receiver tube holes that can take 1-1/4" or 2" drawbars? That would allow someone to build a temporary winch mount that could be removed when one isn't on the trails. I just built a front hitch for my '15 Frontier, one that tucks up inside of the bumper cover and comes out in the front in the lower air intake gap. Been thinking how I could put a temporary winch on my wife's '15 Rene Trailhawk.
