The Sandia Mountains in NM received about 2 ft of snow between 12/26 and 12/28. I went on a drive in blizzard conditions to try to make it to the top of the crest. There was minimal traffic on the way up. I was making my own tracks towards the end. I went as far as I could until I started pushing snow and I couldn't move an inch farther. I got about a mile past the ski area before I had to turn around, about halfway up the crest road. Most of the trucks I saw up there (less than 10) were 1/2 ton/ 3/4 ton pickups with lifts and oversized tires. Most of the people I talked to all said something to the effect they couldn't believe my Jeep made it up there. I was pretty proud of my little toaster.
