Still only a couple inches of clearance on front back wheel well. I will measure with millimeter tape later. Quick check was a little under 3 inches
looks really good, but at the same time there really shouldn't be any extra parts from the lift, especially not spacers! nobody gives extra spacers with their kits. hopefully Avid gets with them and gets things straightened out for you.
I am going to start a thread specific to this and do a summary and write up with more photos over the weekend. Good news was he was still a little confused when we last talked before I picked it up, they ended up getting all the spacers installed and had the extra brackets left that are replaced in the rear.
Has anybody done a 2" lift on the 2WD limited? It seems like the ATP 4.0 only works for 4x4s. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which lift kit works best for the limited?
Hello, my first recommendation would be to start calling shops around you. I live in AZ and 6 out of the 8 shops refused to even touch the renegade and 4x4 parts and desert rat were the only 2 places that would install a lift kit but they would only do the 2in lift. That’s how I made my decision because I was unsure between the 4 or 2. The 2in works perfectly. I have the renegade uplander 4wd version. When talking to the tech at desert rat he said it was the best kit he has done but it’s maxed for height. I daily drive way more and my plan for next year is to get an avid bumper so I can get bigger tires installed. Hope this helps. If u need more info let me know.
Also I’ve had the kit an for almost 3000 miles and no rubbing/ perfect tires still and oem alignment specs
Has anyone ever considered that the ATP springs are just the Eibach springs that have been powder coated red?
Thats good to hear man! Yea I live in Austin TX and I am pretty close to Spring were Avid is located. I got a quote for their 2.5" lift kit with install came up around $1,100. 499 for the parts and the rest labor and tax. Is this reasonable? They have some sweet as bumpers and mod parts! I got way more excited to see how close they are to me.
Thanks, even with just putting on the 2in everyone notices the difference and it feels so much better driving in my opinion. Total I paid just shy of a $1000 for the kit and for it to be install but I did purchase the kit on the ATP website during a holiday sale. Yes, it is might be a little more but U also get .5 of an inch more and that’s always good news and if U can go to the manufacture to install that’s HUGE because there is no question when installing it. When I went back to desert rat for an alignment check they said they have seen way more renegade lift kits but not like mine more like the shitty daystar or the flex 1.5” ones. That’s awesome they are close to u because they make some really nice stuff for it. Well good luck with what ever u do.
Hi Nathanial, I have just installed the ATP 2" spacer and 2" spring kit in my trailhawk. Your comments in this thread were very helpful, thank you. Can I ask whether you have had any alignment, CV, Sway Bar or other problems up until now? Also, did you have to use Camber Bolts to help with alignment? I'm a little bit worried about the CV joints as the angles seem to be very different in the front, and the alignment seems close but i'm not sure it's perfect. I'm very interested to hear from someone that has had the kit installed for some time.
