So far our Rene is bone stock and it'll still go almost anywhere I aim it. However, after a short (but rugged) run in the desert last week, I feel like I need to start adding a lift and some armor. In particular rock sliders and the rear transfer case. I would appreciate some information on where I can find rock sliders and opinions on them as well as what armor you would recommend for the transfer case? Thanks in advance.
I have the Rocky Road Outfitters Kicker Rock Sliders. VERY good quality, Heavy Duty. can easily jack or lift the whole side of the Jeep from the rock rails. I have the American Trail Products (ATP) Carrier Bearing and Rear Differential skid plates. Again, very good quality. I have lifted the rear of the Jeep by the rear differential skid plate, without any issues. Valkyrie Off Road makes a good set of skid plates also. I do not have any of their under-armor protection, but their Hood Vents are very well made. Lift kits; I am using the AVID lift kit and the ATP Springs. Both make a very good lift kit, I preferred the AVID lift kit mainly due to them being Powered Coated. I ordered the ATP 4.0 lift kit and used their springs with the AVID lift kit.
