Is it possible to swap the strut or shock for something more fitting for off-road use? Like bilstien struts/shocks?
I had the same thoughts as you and dug around to try and find a Bilstein or something better. Turns out, the Renegade is fitted with KONI FSD as standard. They are pretty impressive struts... https://www.koni.com/Cars/Products/Performance/FSD/ Clearly, they're more biased toward street. But, I have found for the 99% of stuff to play on here in WA, my Trailhawk does very well with washboard and I don't have any complaints with how the truck reacts to bumps or lumps. I was concerned before I bought the truck, and was 100% certain that the struts would need upgrading. In fact, I'm pretty satisfied with the stock units.
