Hey guys, I just purchased my 2017 Jeep Renegade Sport 2 days ago and as I was driving off the lot I realized I didn’t have Bluetooth connectivity. I was super bummed but I figured it was an easy fix. I loved the car and just assumed this model had Bluetooth connectivity since it’s a brand new 2017. I recently owned a 2014 Ford Fusion so I’m new to the Jeep family as well. Point is I’m looking to upgrade from the stock radio I have now to the Uconnect 5.0 (The touchscreen one with the Bluetooth but no nav). Can anybody shed some light here for me? I’m new to all this and want to get as much info as possible on doing this and if it’s even possible to do. I saw a few replacement options but I wanted to stick with the “Since 1941” that many had removed when putting in their replacement. All help is wanted and appreciated!
If you want to stay with Uconnect, just have your dealership upgrade it. I'm not sure how much they will charge for that. I think it may be worth looking into an aftermarket stereo, but if you wan't to keep the "Since 1941" you may be stuck with factory options.
Welcome to the forum! They're kind of an inconvenience, but the wife and I have used something similar to this on prior vehicles that didn't have b.t. and it worked well. https://smile.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluet...=1510792582&sr=1-4&keywords=bluetooth+adapter
I don't know if you already made a decision on this, but here's what I went with: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6WUHFR/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 iClever Himbox HB01mini by Kylo(the)Ren(egade) posted Nov 26, 2017 at 4:15 PM
