What kind of upgrades are you doing to the engine?

So far, I have a drop in air filter, the GFB diverter valve, a bored throttle body and the lightweight under drive pulley. The MAXFire ignition coils are on the way and I want to get a piggy back ECU this summer. The exhaust might get changed out just for fun.

Been a while. Here are my MAXFire ignition coils from Madness autoworks.

After that, I installed a water/meth injection kit and a piggy back ecu. All the hardware is in but I haven't enabled the water/meth yet because it is leaking.
I removed the factory windshield washer tank to install the tank that came with the kit.

The pump is mounted behind the driver side fog light just in front of the wheel well.

The red water line goes up through the engine bay to the injector. You can also barely see the piggy back ecu tucked next to the factory computer

There is a throttle body spacer where the injector is mounted

Hopefully I can stop the leak and fire this thing up soon.

Do you find the Daystar bull bar strong enough for recovery? I would like to install something strong enough for recovery when I go on the beach.

If I'm being honest, the bull bar is glorified spot to mount the lights. It feels strong enough pushing/pulling straight toward/away from the front. But add any side angle and it wobbles side to side. You can see the winch bumper they sell has a much more robust mounting point.
The bull bar I have attaches with 2 bolts on each side.

The winch bumper has 4 bolts on each side plus the a spot for a D ring.

It also looks like the brackets going back to the chassis are beefier.

But anyway, I bought the actual mopar eye bolt for that mystery bumper spot.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't seen the bull bar in person but evidently it is not what I need. I have seen pictures of the winch bumper which is definitely strong enough but it would probably be overkill for my needs. Too bad they don't make a bull bar with mounting strength of the winch bumper. I think I will give them a call. The eye bolt is more for tie down than towing. Thanks again.

The eye bolt is mopar part# 6510637AA

Sorry I have no data to show improvements. I would say the only noticeable difference was when the ECU went in. But that was a significant improvement. The other mods are supporting/reliability mods.

Well I still don't have the winch installed, but I did get a snorkel. I did a full right up on it as well.

    Check out the install.

After some serious modifications, I have the winch installed behind the factory bumper cover.
    winch bumper.jpg
The bumper obviously had to be cut and the winch bracket had multiple tabs that I removed.
    cut lines.jpg bumpers.jpg
I know this is a small winch, but it is enough for what I want.
    winch.jpg
One major problem is that my bull bar doesn't fit any more. Hopefully I can find another way to mount it.

Great job! I'd really like to do a similar set up. I understand you modified the winch mount to suit your needs but, what vehicle was the winch mount originally for?

Nevermind, found the answer in another one of your posts. :)

"The radius bumper is pre-drilled for the "larger" winches. So you would be needing the 8-12k winches if you want it to bolt right up. The contour bumper was designed for the smaller compact winches. I am actually using the bracket for the contour bumper behind my factory bumper with a 5k winch attached. I'm hoping to keep my weight down so the 5k should be fine. If you plan on adding a lot of accessories, the larger winches will be more appropriate."
