I’ve lurked here a bit since my wife got her 17 Renegade Sport 4x4. Today we installed her first mod, a Daystar bull bar which will hold some color changing led pods. Main reasoning for the bar is we got a great deal on her Renegade by it being on the lot a while and having 1200 miles, but it didn’t come with fog lights. The bar lacked any real instructions, but when I emailed I got a PDF file that answered my main question about which bolts to use to attach to the frame. After that it was a 1hr job and didn’t require removing the splash shield or jacking up the front end. Fitment is a bit awkward and doesn’t quite seem even side to side, but I have no reason to believe that is the bull bar. I may still cut a slit in the factory plastic grilles and slide them over the bar mounts, I haven’t decided yet.

Looks good to me. I was in the same situation (4x4 sport with no fog lights). You can source the factory part for the fog lights online. I chose some off road lights to go on the bull bar. Be sure to update with some more pictures when you get the lights installed on yours.

I’m more of a fan of a light bar, but my wife likes these pods we found that are controlled via Bluetooth and can change colors independently or be grouped together. When in color mode they don’t put off much light but rather just light up, and when in white mode they are super bright. She’s an LSU fan so this would be the configuration on game weekends...

That is too awesome. Is it just one wire for power and ground or are there separate power leads for color mode vs white mode?

Yes, one wire for power and ground. They are controlled completely thru an app on your phone. They default to whatever you had them on last. There is a quick button to switch between white and color, and you can control them in a group or separately. I would like to wire them to a switch in the cab as they will be left to white most of the time.

I did find the factory fog housings, which I swear I looked for them when we first got the thing.

Yes it does look a lot like it. I like it over the Daystar b/c with the Rocky Road you don't seen to lose your red tow hooks.

    Hi

Just a quick question. Do you have the collision warning sensor in the front bumper if so did you have any trouble working around it? Im looking at installing it as well but doesn't look like I have enough space?

Hey, sorry, I don’t think I have that. Got a pretty spartan version of the Renegade with 4x4 being the only real “feature”.

    Hello,

Do you remember which part number did u use?

I’m trying to figure out if I can use KJ50011BK on my 17 sport, since I don’t have acces to KJ50006BK.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Kind regards,
