I was hoping someone could help me out. I tried getting my KO2s size 225/65r17 installed on my trailhawk. The guy installing them said he wouldn’t be able to put them on. He said the tires would get torn up by the rear pinch welds. Also that they would rub in the wheel well since they are a more aggressive tire. I was hoping someone with the same tires could tell me how they were able to get them installed without altering the Jeep.

For wheels and tires, I always take them off the car and bring them to the shop in a different vehicle. That way they can't make those kinds of comments. Also, tire shops are savages. Over torquing lug nuts, stripping threads, scratching wheels, denting fenders. I want them to have as little contact with my vehicle as possible.

Costco scratched our wheels last time we had the tires replaced. When we showed them the damage the manager said "you should have told us to be careful".

I stopped using Costco years ago for other reasons, but that sounds like a claim to the BBB and some calls to their corporate office.

Well he is full of it, I put the exact same size on with no other modifications at all and they don't rub, even with the aggressive tread. Also, they have plenty of room between the wheel well and the top of the tire, even when the suspension is at full flex they don't touch (sway bars connected). Hopefully you can find someone with some sense to put them on, good luck!

you'll probably have to shop around a bit before you'll find someone willing to put them on. Sadly most shops look at Renegades like they're kryptonite and not believing anything can be done to them, not even tires

I have the 225/65/17’s Ko2’s on my 2017 TH after 6000 mi. No rubbing no problems before and after lift. You need a new tire shop.

Stock TH rims? This is the tire I've been eyeballing since I got my Renegade.

I've been running 2 inch spacers for just over a year and almost 20,000 miles now and everything is doing just fine so far, even with going offroad quite a bit. Just make sure they are hub centric and use loctite on the bolts you use to hold them on and you should be good.
