Just a quick note that Renegade Ready has been a great group of folks to work with. They stand behind what they sell and have great customer service. Posted this on another forum also.

They are taking care of an issue that stems to one of their vendors, Valkyrie offroad. I received a diff skid plate from them that literally would not bolt up to the car. The left front mounting tab was over an inch away from getting near the frame hole, because the skid has a large pushed up area in left of center. It's a production issue that made it so that it was bent upwards, contacts the diff before the bolt holes will align with the frame, and looks lousy and NOT like the pics on any website. They never got hold of me when Renegade Ready contacted them, but blew me off for a couple weeks. When I told the folks at Renegade Ready that I was going to contest the charge unless it got fixed, they immediately got hold of me and worked on the problem. I got both emails and phone calls.

They were told by Valkyrie at the initial problem time that they'd be dealing with me directly and were under the impression that Valkyrie had stepped up. They were very unhappy when they found out that I was never contacted. When they got hold of Valkyrie again, they were told that this is just the way the parts are produced sometimes, and sending me another part wouldn't fix it. The plate is made from 3/16" steel plate, and the only way it could be massaged to fit would be with a die and a large hydraulic press. It wasn't damaged in transit, the box was perfectly intact and the inside contents were packed well. The powder coating was intact, so this was a part that was over-pressed at some point in production. It literally could not be bolted to the rear frame.

Renegade Ready told me that they will sell only parts from this supplier that they physically have in stock from now on, as this isn't the first time. Nothing but good to say about those folks, they are on the ball. After they got the blow off response from Valkyrie, they issued me an RMA and a shipping label and I shipped the part back last week.

So, shout out to Renegade Ready, thumbs down for Valkyrie.

Here's some pics, but I should have taken a couple of trying to mount it to the car. These pics don't really convey how badly it lined up and interfered with the diff. The bend upwards was notably more severe when it's on the car.

Glad you got Renegade Ready to help you out.
They did a great job for me with ATP front skid plate.

However, I am bummed to hear Valkyrie wasn't as helpful.
Valkyrie Off Road Gear has been nothing but great and communicative for me.
Sorry to hear your experience wasn't the same.

Hope you get a nice skid plate soon!!

Got both ATP skid plates a week ago Friday. Put them on the car on the 3rd, and they went on perfectly. Beefy and solidly mounted.

What type of socket did you use to slide the rear diff skid plate in? They appear to be a strange star shape. Thanks!

The socket is called an E-Torx (inverted Torx). I don’t remember the size E14 or E16, I don’t remember. A normal metric 6 point socket will work in a pinch.

Thanks for the info. I'll order some E-Torx sockets and give it a go. My Jeep dealer told me they'd charge 2 hours of labor to install my rear diff skid plate. Ouch!

I installed mine in less then 30 minutes. It isn't that hard.
