Just found this article about the price on the Toaster Jeep. Not sure accurate but does sound reasonable. http://www.chron.com/cars/article/2015-Renegade-small-capable-Jeep-5721199.php
I posted that article in another thread earlier this morning. Hopefully it's lower then that if its for a base model.
I talked with a buddy who works from a Chrystler dealership in Florida and he seems to think they are going to start around $20K and go up. Only time will tell.
I can't see a base model starting at $20k. It seems as though they would miss there target audience with that price. I mean you can get a base model sport wrangler for that price and get 22mpg.
This^^^ ! While they may do it anyway, it wouldn't make any sense to me. The sub-compact market IS the Kia Soul audience and that's what the Renegade is targeting. Sure, the Renegade has 4WD but I honestly don't think that most people in this target audience will buy one because of it. But then, what do I know.
if it really is starting at 20k you can kiss the success of this goodbye. i really do feel like the price will make or break the renegade
Agreed. Once you hit the $20-25k market, there are other competing all wheel drive vehicles that may do a better job of fitting certain needs.
