My Jeep Renegade CB Solution - Midland 75-822 & Wilson Little Wil Antenna

I just put the cb in the back of the passenger seat and used a magnet mount antenna for now. Nothing fancy. Cant think of a good place to mount a big cb yet.

 

Hi all - heres my mounting for a 5ft Firestik, on roof bars.



The mount is a mirror mount. Ive fitted extended bolts (will replace with stainless steel ones at some point).


Just used a bit if insulation tape to keep the coax from flapping about




The coax is routed down the outside of the tailgate seal and enters at the bottom of the tailgate just above the rear bumber.
Routed down along the rubber seal:

Put some double sided tape in there to hold it in place as it heads downwards

Finally, in through here, bit of tape to temporarily hold in shape



Im also working on a (UK) towbar (Towball) mount for a 9ft steel whip, for the rear. A quarter wave on 10M and 11M should perform well. I did have it fitted to the red tow hook, but its a bit close to the side of the road and could hit lamposts etc if it swings out.
