Our tires and wheels finally came in and today we had them installed. Nothing original here but it sure does look good on our DoJ Edition! We chose to go with 17" MB14 wheels wrapped in 225/65R17 KO2s and 1" wheel spacers from Amazon. The setup clears the pinch weld seam no problem, so obviously there's no worry about rubbing even without a lift kit, which we also plan on getting early next year. There is some noticeable road noise over the stock 18" wheels with 225/55 Kuhmo Crugen tires but it's not bothersome at all. (Of course, I'm already used to my 31" BFG All-Terrains on my Suzuki Samurai.)

As for handling, it sure does feel "beefier" than the stock wheels, in a good stable way, that is. I also reset our fuel mileage gauge and it seems we were averaging around 34.9 mpg on the freeway, so I don't think we're missing much there in the way of fuel economy. My wife will test drive it back and forth next week to work to see what kind of mileage we get in town.

All in all, I am extremely pleased with our setup, which cost us around $1300 at America's Tire in Reno, but then we also have a $200 dollar rebate coming back at us. I say that's a good deal. I was able to take just one picture before the sun went down today after installation. This was shot at the top of the grade on Highway 70 just west of Hallelujah Junction and heading toward Portola. Tomorrow after church I'll try to take a few more pictures to post for you all.

35mpg really? Skeptical even on the highway, especially with that wheel/tire setup.

We've seen it show 36 on the stock wheels. Is this accurate? Beats me. Will probably have to take a road trip and record our mileage on a full tank of gas to find out what the true mileage is.

We decided to get the Renny nice and dirty this afternoon, so we hit some snow and mud just a few miles up our road. Took it to the local car wash bay and rinsed it off for a few more quick photos. We did notice today that there is a very slight rubbing when the wheels are really clocked all the way. But a lift should take care of that.

Thanks...we we're pleasantly surprised with how good these wheels look with the KO2s. Now we need to figure out what to do with the stock setup since we won't need it any longer.
