I found this shot from the Paris Auto Show of what looks to be a Mopar roof light bar for the Renegade. While it shows only two lights, looking closer, there are cutouts for two more lights, for a total of four. Hopefully there will be a number of aftermarket Light Bars, Roof Rack Lights, Bumper Lights, 7" Truck-Lites and other Light Mods available for the Renegade as time goes on.
I found the Renegade English owners manual here: Renegade Owner Handbook Looking at the stock light bulbs for the European market, which may or may not be the same as the U.S. market, I found these on page 125: Bulbs Type Power Main beam/dipped beam headlights (halogen) H4 60/55 W Main beam/dipped beam headlights (Xenon gas discharge) D5S 25 W Fog lights H11 55 W Rear fog light W16W 16 W (I've never heard of a Rear fog light, I wonder if that is a European thing only?) So here is a question for you Jeepers in the know, are there aftermarket bulbs for the Main Beams that are better that the stock bulbs for off-roading, in-case the Truck-Lite brand 7" does not fit?
Great find and even better info!! I think a roof rack is kind of a must on these Renegades if you plan on doing any back country exploring. The addition of lights on this factory looking mod is very nice!
Their was a nice Mopar aerodynamic roof rack discussed here: 2014 SEMA Show - Jeep Renegade Graphic Packages I found it for real on the Jeep Cherokee Adventurer at the 2014 Moab Easter Jeep Safari. I think that would look nice on the Renegade, we will have to see how it fits with the Mopar Light bar show above.
That looks a lot like what I have seen in renderings and am glad to see it's so aerodynamic. Should cut down on the noise quite a bit.
I'd like to see a properly scaled bulbar for the front with a couple of lights and maybe a short receiver tube. That way you could plug in a winch if you really needed it.
A full windshield light bar wouldnt be bad ether. Really be nice when going on some mountain roads...
Here in the uk it is law to have a rear red fog light. On my jeep wrangler I have two inlaid into the rear bumper.
