So I'm a new member around here that just picked up an anvil trailhawk. I'm looking into getting some new wheels with some beefier all terrains. I'm old school and really want a set of steel wheels to match my wife's JK wrangler. Well I've been looking and found a set of steel wheels made by wheel vintiques for the chevy HHR. They are 16x6.5 5x110 with a +32 offset. Which sounds like I might be able to get away without having to use wheel spacers with that offset. The only kicker is that they aren't TPMS friendly. Do any of you guys know how the Renegade will react without having TPMS wheels? I'm asking because these wheels are so far the only ones that have gotten me excited. Thanks for the help
Hey there and welcome! You should probably read this tread The ISSUES with 16" Wheels on a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk
I've already read that thread front to back several times. I don't mind having to run spacers and whatnot. The only thing that's not addressed in that thread is running non TPMS 16" wheels. Which is why I started this thread. I'm not sure how the renegade reacts to not having TPMS sensors on the wheels.
I thought it was addressed in the thread, sorry man.. Did you try reaching out to wayoflife? He's been running those wheels and should be able to help with your question. Good luck!
So you're using non TPMS wheels and the only notification that comes up is the little orange deflated tire light? I'm ok with that, I was worried it'd be like my old fiat 500 where the whole digital dash would change to a screen telling you about your low tire pressure and stay that way until it was fixed.
Yes. I have second 16" wheelset with AT tyres with no TPMS and only this warning light is on. I read someone had "problem" with dinging warning noice, but I guess he fixed it in uconnect warning setup.

With my TH, I put on snows on this winter. I had the warning light come on, it stayed on for about a day, then disappeared. It's like it registered that there were no sensors and did an "ignore". Even the page with sensors disappeared off my menu. I parked it in the garage next to the sensors in the tires, and one start-up it recognized them and reactivated the check. But then that disappeared a day later when I moved it back to its regular parking spot. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
offset is 34, no spacers This is diference on location for correction weights front/rear rims for no scrubing on front brake calipers @JK4Life - interesting. When I use this second wheelset without TPMS, I have stock wheel with TPMS as spare, but no recognition. Maybe board computer recognises them only when 4 TPMS-es are present. I wonder where (4?) sensors for TPMS are located. They should be close to the wheels, so computer knows location of each TPMS.
Well I went ahead and ordered one wheel to test fit. After seeing that morning moon is using no spacers with a +34 offset I'm hoping that my wheels with +32 will fit the same. Only difference is my wheels are steel and his are aluminum. The wheel will be delivered next Friday so I'll know by the end of the weekend.
