That's crazy don't know if I'd risk my 30k renegade doing that lol Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Pretty cool but yeah don't think I'd try it. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using ToasterJeep mobile app
I wouldn't risk my life doing that unless there was a very, very good reason, like fleeing something even more dangerous on my side of the river.
Let's face it, our rene' are designed just for light trails and mostly on pavements. Why? because the suspension and wheel-wells are not designed for aggressive tires...
Don't try to go in water more than a foot deep with a renegade. Foot and a half tops. I tried to cross through two feet of water, and hydrolocked my deserthawk. Air intake dips down and sucks in air level with the front bumper. Stupid design Jeep.
Trailhawks are spec'd at 19 inch water crossings... Most modern cars and trucks scoop the intake down to the grill by the headlight to get cooler air. Something like a K&N cold air intake would get you up over the wheel well. Other than that a snorkel is your next option. Sent from my SM-G920T using ToasterJeep mobile app
I live in Vegas where flooding is a regular occurrence during the summer... Every year somebody loses a bet like that and many times it takes days to find the body... Extremely dangerous, you have no idea how deep the ruts are that are carved out under the water, that could have ended ugly, upside down and floating away. I was always told that you drive through water only as a last-resort and that you don't drive through water that has a decent chance of being deep until you've inspected the intended right-of-way. I've also seen vehicles hit what looked like puddles on asphalt roads only for the concealed pothole to tear the crap out of the car.
Ya want to go do some trail riding this weekend since I just moved to Vegas? Shoot me a pm. *end thread jack lol Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
