I was raised running the back roads in Nevada. At one time in the early 80's there were five different Jeep vehicles parked at our house. My earliest Jeep memory was caravanning into my grandparents mining claim some 60 miles off the pavement. My grandmother and I were wearing goggles and leading the way in a Willys CJ2A with my parents and my grandpa following in a camper and a Gladiator pickup. I loved that feeling of blazing the trail in the wide open west.

The first car I bought for myself was my very own 1942 Willys. It had mustang buckets and a wooden floor. When all my friends were dreaming of driving a Trans Am I was tooling around in the coolest heap in town.

Mine way a 79 cj5 with 3 speed and 304v-8 in it. Noisy, rusty, but ran well, it was what started my jeep obsession...owned 10 jeeps since then, currently my wife's Rene and my 15 Wrangler JKU. Love them all!!

I bought my first Jeep when I was 16, with a co-signed loan with my parents. It was a '68 CJ-5 with a rebuilt engine, dual exhaust, switched out back axle. It was a bucket full of adventure and fun on 4 wheels that I took on horse trails, over snowy mountain passes, through countless mud holes and creeks, and got her airborne on a few occasions. I miss that Jeep. 20161225_132518.jpeg

Mine was a 1973 Jeep Comando it had a 304 v8 and an automatic trans, I could climb trees with that thing. I think it was around 1994 that I bought it off my brother for 500 bucks. Sorry no photos of my first jeep. I have owned nothing but a jeep ever since. My latest is a 2015 rene sport.

In the summer of 2000 my dad bought a 1967 Jeep Gladiator half ton pickup. He my big brother and I spent that summer turning it from a total junker into a rolling rust bucket. It was the first car I ever drove. The first car my wife bought was a 1999 Wrangler. We have been sadly bereaved of Jeeps until April of this year, when we got a 2018 Rene Latitude.

My first Jeep was a 1977 CJ5 Renegade. Swapped in an AMC 360, Semi high rise manifold with a Carter AFB 4 barrel, Zoom clutch connecting it to the 3 speed. 3rd gear at 85 mph would lift the front end.
