A few months ago I had the rear heatshield come loose and it was dragging on the road so I pulled it off and unfortunately threw it away. Last week, after waiting since November (including monthly calls to parts and service), I received a call from the dealership that the heat shield was in. I got to the parts department and they had no idea what I was talking about. Originally the mechanic said I wasn't missing anything and on my return visit they also said nothing was missing. If you look at the attached Pic there is a Mopar stamp on the hanging heat shield - Maybe it's possible I ran over a Mopar heat shield, but I feel like the mechanic/dealer just doesn't know. Anyone have an idea here?
I had the same happen to mine. I clipped it back in but based on the design I will assume we will all lose these panels if we plan on driving off road or deep snow. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Hi Derek, I just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly--the dealership called to let you know they had a part for you, but once you went in they did not have the heat shield ordered? Kori Jeep Social Care Specialist
