I'm fairly certain that JK headlights won't work. The Renegade uses a headlamp part that is specific to itself and nobody aftermarket has manufactured anything yet. AFAIK, the only other option is to order the HID headlamps from a LHD Euro-spec model and all the associated parts *if* you can track them down and swallow what is probably a much higher cost.
Ah I thought so. Would be nice if they made the headlights the same. I just love the look of those lights. I hope the renagade gets more love when it comes to modifications.
It looks like Magnetti Marelli might be the manufacturer for the part, so you could ostensibly get them through anybody who is a dealer for MM that will ship to the states if MM won't allow their US vendors purchase EU specific parts. Look at page 244. http://magnetimarelli-checkstar.satiz.it/Illuminazione 2016 EN/Lighting 2016.pdf My understanding is these are 25W HID bi-xenon projectors. Because of that, I would question if they require a different harness if they are a self-enclosed unit because they would have a different power draw than standard H13 bulbs and would also need to also power the cutoff shield for the high beam functionality. Sometimes, the bulb base is part of the headlight assembly and there's a shared harness for all variations of the OE headlamps for a vehicle and sometimes each headlamp has a unique harness based on it's construction. I would *hope* it's a shared harness, but stranger things have happened, especially since it's not a standard feature in the EU. 25W means it's <2000 lumens maximum output, which is why self levelers and washers aren't required or fitted to the EU spec Renegade. A standard H13 halogen bulb usually rated for 1000 lumens low beam, 1500 lumens high beam. So you're not going to see a marked increase, if any with these headlamps. I have no idea if it would be possible to swap out the components to increase output or not. As much as I would love to have bi-xenon projectors on my Renegade, the marginal increase in light output (if any) combined with the cost means I'll be doing a high output H13 LED bulb instead.
Oh, and once I checked using the part numbers from MM's parts catalog, I was able to find them for sale from Amazon in Italy, who will gladly ship to the US. I've bought from Amazon UK and Amazon JP in the past, it's surprisingly easy. http://www.amazon.it/dp/B014LDYMFU http://www.amazon.it/dp/B014LDZ3LC

Seems to be something aftermarket though I can't track down the source. A Google search for aftermarket headlights pulls them up a couple times. 2016 Renegade 4x4 Limited
I read somewhere that the actual housing mount loxations on the jk compared to the Renegade are totally different, so unfortunately jk headlights wouldn't fit the Renegade
I guess I'll give people who are interested a heads up... In the first week of June I will be doing a jk retrofit on my renny. I'll be documenting all the work it takes to make it fit, so if you all are willing to wait I'll be the guinea pig
Hi, are they full led or led+Hid? How are those in comparison with stocks? Wysłane z iPhone za pomocą Tapatalk
