So I already have a few dings in my door handles from idiots not caring when opening doors. :(

Was thinking maybe some rock sliders would be good to prevent this? Other option would be footsteps, but since I got off roading every once in a blue moon, figured not as useful.

Anyone else have this issue? What did you do to remedy the situation?

In an ideal world... I would love to have spikes that doors would hit instead of my baby. ;)

I do that most of the time, but sometimes people still park next to you, or there isn't any parking away from others. :(

The safest place is between an expensive car and the cart coral because no one puts their carts there

I put on rock sliders for this reason. I went with Daystar, and I regret it. They don't come out far enough to stop a door from hitting them. And it's my fault for not researching it. It looks like the Rocky Road super sliders might be better for this.

I went with steps but to do any good they need to be the type that sit at the top of the sill not under it otherwise they don't hit the offenders door I had stainless bars on my last 4x4 and they worked great but unfortunately there not available over here at the moment for the renegade. Where do you guys live that people are such asshats that they don't watch their doors? I don't think I've ever had that problem...

I had the Misotunida side steps on, they sit out further than the daystar sliders, however it partially solves the problem cause the doors of almost all 4 wheeler SUV's are higher and have a chance of hitting at mid hight of my Jeep, eventually I end up parking away from the crowed or at single car designated spots in mall lots :/
