Howdy! So I completed testing on the headlamps and they are now available to order. Opt7 in general has been amazing to work with and they are including all the necessary components required to clear any error codes in the kit. I was able to secure a 15% OFF promo code for the first 20 buyers in our JRL Facebook group but I'll also share it on here... promo code "jeeprenegadelife" http://www.opt-7.com/outlaw-x-drl-led-jeep-renegade-replacement-headlights/ Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Yeah, I've heard the same thing from other folks but the reality is the Renegade market is very limited... so kinda hard for companies to do low entry prices when the demand just isn't there. The way I look at it, if I ever had to pay for replacement stock headlamps out of pocket - NEW, they'd be about $225 each lol.
Add another $110 for the FluxBeam lamps, pushing the cost for $600. There are a lot of options I would rather spend that on currently. These look cool though.
That kinda cash gets sliders or a winch and bumper both which are more practical Sent from my N9519 using ToasterJeep mobile app
Bought my bumper for 250 got winch for same. Sliders we're a bit more 699 Sent from my N9519 using ToasterJeep mobile app
Btw all were new and off eBay. I used auctions with make an offer but 9500lb winch is normal price and name brand that I have trust in. Sent from my N9519 using ToasterJeep mobile app
Sliders at $499 http://www.rocky-road.com/jeep-renegade-rock-sliders.html Bumper and Skid Plate for $429 http://www.rocky-road.com/jeep-renegade-bumper.html Both more practical than $600 headlight, IMO. All depends on your style and need though.
I have the super sliders. They are amazing. Next is gonna be the bumper and skid plate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This kit is not working properly.. day time running lights won't turn on unless car is off! Also getting error messages.. also there is no customer service number to call..I was having them installed by specialty shop.that does lighting..
Well kind of.. they sent me a new daytime led running light.. but for some reason when the car is shut off .. the light doesn't go completely off.. justs gets much dimmer.. I tried to get back in touch with the company.. but there customer service is basically non existent.. no phone number to call.. plus slow to answer emails..they look really cool though
I have that issue too. It's because the car still thinks it's a halogen lamp when it's led. It's sending 30+ watts to a bulb that uses 2-5
Cool lights but they aren't going to be for the masses at that price Sent from my iPad using ToasterJeep mobile app
Hey, So initially I was having the same issue but only when the lights are on AUTO. I had dropped my Jeep off for what i thought would be months to get the cooling fan replaced and I guess after a week of inactivity from the battery, when I picked it up the lights started working fine under manual operation. Also, I learned a sequence before to get them to work properly through UConnect but it takes a bit to learn lol
Possibly, my battery gave out recently and just replaced it. Could just be coincidental timing since I'm pushing 50k miles but still seemed a bit soon for the battery to go out. Who knows.
