Yeah, it was a tough decision since I had to drop another 500 bucks on wheels. I'm glad I did though, if I had just gone with AT's, I would have eventually wanted to move up to MT's at some point anyway.

I know this is super old by now, but did you HAVE to trim the pinch seam or just choose to? Im narrowing down my wheel selection and really trying to decide on tire size. Several people have been safe with 225/70/16 and no rubbing at all, but every person ive seen with 225/75 had issues with rub, regardless of the brand.

Ender can you post the specifics of the momo wheels you are using?

They are the momo win pro 16" wheels. They also required that I use 1" wheel spacers to barely clear the brake calipers. Other than that, they weren't anything special. I went down to discount tire and asked them what wheels they had that would fit on renegades. We then sat at the computer looking at each one, until I found these.

Ender, I just wanted to confirm... is that the Daystar winch mount for the trailhawk? Just checking since that's what I've been looking for, (want D-ring shackle attachments at the recovery points, instead of an open-ended point which our red hooks provide) but hesitant to pull the trigger since both the daystar website and all 4WD parts websites have the non-TH mount on a non-TH renegade in their product pictures. Also, could you post something of a whriteup, or a pic of the installation instructions? (none on the daystar website).

    Thanks!

    Hi Frank,

This is the Daystar winch bumper system mounted on my Trailhawk. I don't have any write up pics though because Daystar actually installed it. I'm within driving distance of Daystar and worked out a deal with them because they wanted to test fit parts on a TH model.

I'm sure if you email Daystar they can hook you up with installation instructions. They were super cool with me when I had issues with my control arm bracket.

EnderAZ, Great looking Jeep! Just bought the same color TH this past Saturday, and lift will be in tomorrow. I've ordered 1.25" spacers and also RR 1.0" spacers for backup. I plan to keep the factory 17" wheels, and my 225/65 KO2's will be here next week.

    1. Do you think I will be safe with the 1.25" spacers?

    2. I'm nervous about the alignment. Did you have any issues with that after the lift?

    Thanks!

Ender, maybe you can help me out...

I just got my (Daystar Trailhawk winch) mount in and in looking over the instructions, I have one major issue...

The picture provided on page 2 has brackets that look completely different from those provided. The kit comes with 2 types of brackets: 1. Bracket left & right, and 2. support brackets left and right.

One bracket obviously attaches to the winch mount, and there are 2 mounting holes up top that look like they fit where the current red tow hooks are mounted. The other (triangular-ish) brackets I have no idea where they go. The instructions text and picture, both on page 2, are obviously NOT for the TH, as there is no mention of the 2nd set of brackets and the pictured bracket has an upward angle from front to back.

Could you take some closeup pics of your installed rig, that may shed some light on the 2nd set of brackets mystery and where they attach to both the main brackets and also the frame?

Also, if anyone else on here has any info, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Well since they didn't do my alignment right my MT's wore down super quick. I decided that since I would need new tires that I wanted to drop down to an AT since I mainly drive on the road and the MT's were super loud. So I've picked up a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3W's. As soon as I mount them I'll post up some pics.
