What’s up everyone. I haven’t done one thing to my renegade yet but I’m wondering if any of y’all went the gas saving route, if so, what upgrades should I go after first?

K&N Filter, lightweight wheels, adjust the nut pushing the pedal:):):)
Seriously, the best thing you can do is drive slow, especially on the highway. About every few months my husband complains the gas mileage is going down, but it is always always his driving style that gets more aggressive. I drive the Renegade on the highway and get 31, he gets 25 or 26. He totally does not believe me until it gets so bad he absolutely has to adjust his driving style, the mpg goes up--at which point he will declare that he will never drive fast again, since you really don't get places much quicker anyway. Then the cycle begins again. This has happened over and over again. for the last 10 years.
Don't let the dealer do updates unless they have to. They did an update that made the mpg go down for real, but it got fixed when we reinstalled the ECM we use.

Ooh, good point. Pedal is most likely the problem. I push it on the highway. Thanks.

In no wind conditions, I get about 27mpg going 65mph. If I go 70mph, that drops to about 22-23. These cute brutes are not aerodynamic.

Agreed. I drove through Nebraska both ways a couple months ago. Going east at 75 mph I got about 25 mpg and from Kearney to Lincoln I was getting about 28 with a good tail wind. Going back against a real strong headwind I was getting no better than 21 mpg.

The biggest thing you can do is chill, enjoy yourself and don't try to whip your Jeep into a fury... It's not a sports car, take it easy and enjoy the ride. If not, it'll punish you by sucking up gas.
