I didn’t put any spacers. I do want to put some though, to make it have a wider stance.

The stock rim (6.5") for the Renegade is too narrow for the 245s. You need at least a 7" rim.

Do you have wheel spacers or just the lift?

Nevermind. Once I looked closer saw they were the same big KOs.

Anyone know if a 245/70/17 or 245/75/17 would fit on the renegade? I have the teraflex lift and eibach springs.

Speaking for myself...I have the 2” ATP lift, and I have 225/70r17, 29.5” tires. I did cut back the pinch seam as well. Even with an extra .5” of lift with your set up, I can’t see them fitting unless you do some serious cutting.

I have a 2017 Renegade Trailhawk with stock Falken Wildpeak H/T, 215/65R17 tires.

Last weekend I wanted to see how the. Car would handle snow. On an unplowed section of the Old Donnor Pass Road up by Tahoe with about 1 to 1.5 ft of lightly packed and fresh snow I got stuck. Part of th problem was that there was not enough room to turn around and had to back up to get back to the plowed section of the road. I managed to get it free with some help pushing , but it would fishtail back into a drift when backing it up. Had to call tow truck to pull me out.

So looking at various forums, its clear I need better tires for these sort of snow conditions.

The question is get true snow tires and swap them in the spring or alll terrain and leave them on all the time.

The BFG K02’s 225/65 R17 with the snowflake rating seem to be a pretty good compromise and they will fit without any other mods. I’m assuming they will also fit on my current rims.

The question is how good are they in snow and how noisy are they on the road?

    I have the 2017 sport 4x4.
    Came with 16's.
I want to go up in size of wheel and tire.
I may get the 2"ATP but need help figuring out what the best setup will be.
I found some Raceline wheels that are 17x8 and thought about getting the 225/65/17 KO's to go on them.
    Any thoughts or suggestions???

Some additional confirmation of Ko2 fitment on renegade. I just got done mounting a set of BF Goodrich KO2 tires with no lift and only 1 inch spacers. Details below

    • 2017 Jeep Renegade Altitude
    • Stock 18in rims
    • 1 inch spacers
    • 255/55/18 BF Goodrich Ko2

Very slight rubbing when steering locked. Followed the directions on this site to slightly trim the pinch line behind wheel well. Now there is no rubbing in any condition. Took it on some water washouts to get modulation and still no rubbing.

Looks and climbs so much better!

Will BFG K02’s 225/65 R17 fit on stock 2016 Trailhawk utilizing 1' inch spacers (all 4 tires), without rubbing?

I don't know if the anniversary lift dimensions are higher or lower etc. My guess is, its not lifted as higher as the trailhawk so, maybe the trailhawk can run the spacers without issues.

I just got a set of Pirelli All Terrain Plus 225/65R17 installed today. I was back and forth between them and the BFG KO2s. The BFGs are definitely more aggressive looking and will perform better off road but I don't plan on doing much off road and being that it's my daily driver I couldn't justify the added weight, loss of mpgs & treadlife. Not to mention the BFGs would have been about $300 more. Anyway, so far so good and it fits and looks perfect on my TH.

I've attached some pics. Side by side BFGs & Pirellis and then my before and after pics.

Those tires look nice. I'm rethinking the KO2 tires now. hmmm.. How's the road noise? Have you noticed a change in your MPG?

Got a massive mesquite thorn on the shoulder of a Wildpeak OEM tire while out enjoying BLM trails. It was nice having a full size spare to use while out in the desert. At anyrate, I ordered a new Wildpeak to match the new one that was a spare, but that got me thinking... the rears are just past 1/2 life, maybe it's time to start looking at a full new set.

Oh yes, is your Trailhawk stock? Spacers? Lift?

Hey JeepBuddy. Thanks. Yeah, I was really set on the KO2s for the longest time but then as fate would have it I stumbled upon the Pirelli's and haven't looked back. Ok, maybe once or twice but realistically, the Pirelli's are the best of both worlds for my daily driver. It has the aggressive look and tread pattern while not sacrificing on mpg, weight, tread life and ride comfort. As I mentioned, it was also $300 less than a set of KO2s so for me it was a win win.

As for road noise, I honestly can't tell the difference between these and the Falken's so I would say there's very little if any difference to me anyway. MPG? Actually, it seems like it has gone up .5-1 MPG which seems odd but I'll take it.

Yeah, if it's time to change tires I'd jump on the Pirelli deal while you can. They are going for $160 per tire from most places but I found them on tirecrawler.com for $126.84 a piece and got America's Tire / Discount Tire to match the price.

My TH is stock. No lift or spacers and it fits perfectly without rubbing. Plan on taking her off road this weekend but from what I've read there shouldn't be any issues with rubbing. I just actually ordered 1" spacers so hopefully with the spacers it won't rub either and give it a better more aggressive stance.
