How often do you all change the oil in it and does every model come with the oil change light/warning. I am at 5-6k miles now and nothing yet...
I get the oil changed around 6,000 miles and at the same time rotate the tires. I have never had the light come on. From comments I have seen the light seems to come on around 6,500 to 7,500 miles, it seems to vary. As far as I know all models have the oil change warning light.
Ok, do you reset it or something when you do it. Is that why it never comes on or is there some sort of sensor?
I don't change the oil myself. The dealer probably has a procedure when the oil is changed to reset the oil mileage message to zero when he finishes.
To reset the oil change light: 1. Turn the car to run (do not start the engine) 2. Fully depress the gas pedal 3 times slowly (within 10 seconds) 3. Turn the car off. It has worked like a charm each time I've changed the oil.
