So I've been trying to convert all my lights in my Jeep Renegade to LEDs I've got LED reverse lights LED headlights LED fog lights LED daytime running lights and all LED interior the problem I'm having is finding LED brake lights/turn signals that won't throw errors. I found a few that I like but everytime I try them in the tail lights I get errors, are there any bulbs that'll work without throwing up errors or do I have to go with a load resistor as well? Any help would be appreciated.
Yes unfortunately you have to put load rezistors There are 5 wires in the back of the back lights it was hard to find the right set up for the rezistors, have fun
Do you happen to have resistors in your and if so could you maybe point me in the right direction, with a photo perhaps.
Oh dang it , sorry i just saw now your mess, i m not gettin any posts or messages since the toaster app s gone down, so here are some pics
So basically both resistors are connecting on one side with the black and the other two separately are connecting with one green and white stripe and other green and red stripe-this on Driver side and also blue and yello green stripe remain untouched
On the Driver side its a bit different its Blk on both sides of each rwsistor but on resistor connects with green and yello stripe and the other resistor connects with green and blk stripe Hope this helps
Sorry to revive an older thread, Do you need to put 2 resistors on the drivers side and 2 on the passenger? or only on the drivers side?
2 rezistors on each side yes -thats in the back lights In the front only one for the blinkers each side. For side markers it would be the same situation as of the plates bulbs where you d need to tap in the wire and let the oem bulb inside (hanging) this for those that are upgrading the whole side marker led bulb/housing. In my case i had to do it maybe other Renegades do not need it but my Bulb Light Out pops up for Everything
