DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM CarID THEY WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU. DONT FALL FOR THEIR BS LIKE I DID

I deleted my original post in this spot praising CarID and the "great" deal I found, I got scammed plain and simple. I almost didnt get my money back. see my lengthy post below for more info into what happened.

welp definitely not going to have them for ANYTHING at Jeep Beach, they pushed back the shipping date from today to May 2nd. If they push it back again i'm gonna be pissed. This is the second time I've ordered from CarID, the first time the shipment got pushed back by about a month and I got the wrong parts, you'd think I had learned and went with a different company, oh well

yes, I got my wheels, from elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and never use CarID for anything. I was assured they had the wheels I ordered in stock before I placed the order. 2 weeks later I called them to ask why they hadn't shipped yet, they said they were shipping any day, called ever week after that and asked only to get the same answer. Finally about 2 months later I started yelling at the guy on the other end only to hear him say that they were on back order from the manufacturer for at least 6 months so I told him to cancel them and cancel the order for the tires as well. 4 hours later I got an e-mail saying the tires got shipped. about 1.5 weeks later I get a text from UPS saying the tires had arrived, even though I told them to cancel them they sent them anyway so i went to pick them up. half way there I get another text from UPS saying the sender had requested them to be sent back and I could no longer get them.

so long story short. my overall history with CarID
-ordered the Eibach springs, received lift kit for a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 instead having been improperly labeled as a spring kit for the Renegade, took 2 months to straighten out and get the right kit.
-was assured they had the wheels in stock that I ordered, was on back order for at least 6 months and they had no intention of telling me until I started complaining.
-ordered a set of tires they said were in stock and would ship immediately. did not ship until 2 months later when I started complaining about the wheels AND after I said to cancel them, only to ship them and let them get all the way here and tell UPS to return them.

    CarID is scam central.

if your in the market for wheels and tires look at BBWheels.com only things they have in stock show on their website and they ship in 1 to 2 days. after I got my money back from CarID I ordered from these guys and I had my wheels and tires within about a week.
Moto Metal wheels 17" x 8.5" wide with a zero offset and 235/65R17 Atturo TrailBlade X/T

oh, and if you order from BBWheels.com dont order through the website, give them a call, really nice friendly people, and tell them you found them after getting screwed over by CarID, the operator was laughing for a few minutes when I told him that.

    WOW!!!

Well, we are actually picking up our 17 Reny Trailhawk this week and we're looking for the lift kit and new wheels. I REALLY like your setup and it looks like I'll have to order everything...Down to the tires. ( Can I please have the detailed specs for Wheels, Tires and lift?)I was Tire shopping today and NO ONE has the 225/65/17 for off-roading, just the highway tires. I fund these today and they're around $230 each but I wasn't sure if I should go with this on stock wheels for now. Suggestions?

BTW, I'm in the Virgin Islands so everything has to be shipped in if you can't find it at a local shop.

ya, if you get those tires you'll definitely need after market wheels, the stock wheels are only 6.5 inches wide and those tires need a 7.5 to 8 inch wide wheel at the very least. and for the 225/65/17 size? barely anyone makes an offroad tire in that size for a 17 inch wheel unfortunately.

    as far as my setup?
I have this lift kit with both spacers and lift springs. my springs are made by Eibach but so are the ones in this kit, they're just a different color.

if you've heard people bad mouthing ATP it's for good reason, their customer service is total crap. but it you order through Renegade Ready (the link I gave you) you only have to deal with Renegade Ready and they have great customer support and everything they have on their website is in stock, but it would be advisable to call first before ordering.

These are my wheels, Moto Metal M0970, 17inch x 8 inch wide with a zero offset, they stick 40mm further out then the stock wheels to give a wider stance, just be warned, if you go with this offset you will have to do the pinch seem mod on the front wheel wells.

and these are my tires, Atturo Trailblade X/T all terrain hybrid tire at 235/65R17, and these are currently running about $133 per tire

Well... :( BBWheels won't ship the Virgin Islands. They would drop the items off to a Freight Forwarder and then I would have to pay THEM and deal with customs etc...

Do they cut the center hub to spec or are you running hubcentric rings?
