Small evap leak P0456

    Anyone else have this issue? How did it get resolved? If I unplug my battery cable, my CEL stays off for a couple weeks then pops back on. Also, could anyone tell me/post a pic of where the evap can is located? I am going to blow it out and see if that helps. My buddy had the same issue in his Silverado and he did that and the light never came back on.

    I belive fuel cap seal leak could generate the same error.

    How would I go about testing this out? Fuel cap being the metal flap or the rubber boot on the door?

    The cap is just a rubber stem, can remove and do a leak test with water, probably not expensive to replace for starters. The link above has good information on the typical evap system, take a look.

    Thanks man!

    The charcoal canister is located in the rear right wheel well, correct? Looks like I can get a smoke tester on amazon if the gas cap isnt the issue.
