I own a 2017 Renegade Latitude 2.4 4x4 and just want to put the Eibach Pro Spring Lift Kit on it. Just that, no other lift kit or spacers or anything like that. Has anyone done this? Wondering how the ride is after? More stiff? How is the handling? Especially on corners? I do not do any off roading at all. This is strictly for a more confident, controlled ride. My Rene gets a bit bouncy. I will change out tires to Yokohama Geolander GO15’s 225/65/17 after the new springs are put in. Don’t need AT tires but want it to look a bit more aggressive but still be road friendly. I just have the stock Continental Cross Contact LX sports 215/60/17 on the vehicle now. Not the best. Anyone have experience with just the Eibach Springs and nothing else so I have a sense of how it changes the handling and ride. Thanks
I will be installing the eibach springs on my 2018 non-th altitude 4x4 come Tuesday. I’m going to make a report of how it drives with stock 18” tires and how it rides after I get Mount and balance of Nitto ridge grapplers and alignment done. All of this may be a little not accurate because i will have 1.5” spacers on, however, I will Do my best to do a write up on every scenario.
I read that pro kit lift spring smoothed the off road rides but felt stiffer / less comfortable on standard road. If you are looking for a sportier ride quality, maybe consider the Madness lowering springs?
I hear that the ride becomes much stiffer because of the firmer spring rate required for lift. It is going to be hard to balance “aggressive” and a “sport car” ride. If you want your 4wd to ride like a Subaru, @Sleepy made a good point of lowering your Renegade, and adding a good set of street tires. Believe it or not, the Renegade is a fun vehicle to drive spiritedly on curvy roads. Stab the 4WD Lock, manual shift into 3rd (if you are driving an automatic) and that Renegade is quit fun to drive on mountain roads. You may have to sacrifice spirited driving for aggressive good looks, unless your spirited driving is off road.
