    Okay,

So I bought the Teraflex 1.5" Lift Kit and love all of it but the quick release sway bar links. These have caused nothing but clunking noise on every bump under 35 mph. We have tightened them, greased them, etc...

So now I am wondering what are people's thoughts on the ATP Sway Bar Links.
    Do they work?
Do they cause a clunking noise?

Looking for those who have installed them, have the ATP 2" Lift Kit.

    Appreciate your help.

Hmm. . . glad I saw this. I purchased and installed the ATP 2.0 and yes they have issues too. They use like a recirculating ball type link. I think it's called a heim link ? Any way they get dirty, especially after offroading, and start to creak and grown. But usually just clean them up and hit them with some WD40 and their fine for a while. I heard there are some after market ones that are suppose to be better but until these get totally annoying, I can live with it.

    IMO.

Is it isolated to one side or both?
I thought it was mine but turned out it was the passenger side motor mount.

    Both.
I took it to the dealership to re-torque all of the bolts/nuts and they said nothing was lose, but tightened them all up to what the instructions specify.
The clunk is still there. We have driven it around without the sway bar links and there is no clunking.
And the clunking only happens below 35 mph.

But why would it be the motor mount? I don't remember touching that when installing the lift....

The earlier motor mounts have been redesigned. Not sure when the newer design was put into production but the older mounts have been failing.

The stiffness added by the spacer on the strut and sway bar combined.
Have you checked the bushings to the sway bar and control arm?

On Mine it doesn't matter either side can make the creak/clunking sound or both at the same time. Wonder how dangerous it would be to drive it w/ sway links disconnected. Think it be ok under 30 mph. But scary on the highway.

I have 5100s and eibachs installed. I dont run sway bars and I drive highway speeds and no issues.

The sway bars are there to reduce body roll. Unless you are doing high-speed cornering or racing up a canon with lots of curves, you probably won’t notice that the sway bars aren’t connected.

    **UPDATE**
After talking with Teraflex they sent me a new set of the Quick Release Sway Bar Links.
This time we decided to grease the sh!t out of them. There is a quick YouTube Video that Teraflex posted.
We removed the bushing, greased up the bushing and the link itself, installed them, tightened the heck out of the, to the point where we thought it might be too tight (but lets be real, neither one of us is that strong). Teraflex does "grease" the bushings, but not with enough grease, and the instructions recommends greasing them (a grease gun did not do the job, we had to remove the bushings).

The clunking noise has gone down considerably. It is amazing to drive Renegade that doesn't clunk every time you hit an uneven bump on the road under 35 mph.

I think that the bushings will need to be greased every 6 months or so, (ESPECIALLY after going on trails - will now become part of my routine when cleaning the Jeep).

    Hope this helps.

    Happy Trails!

Update - Teraflex sent me some replacement sway bar links. I have already switched out the pair once and continued to use the quick release setting. However, even after greasing up the bushings, after two days, the clunk was back.
This time Teraflex have sent me the sway bar links and have told me to not use the quick release setting, but instead bolt in the upper bushing. I will be installing these this afternoon and will let y'all know how it goes.

    Update -

It has been 3 days (which might not be enough) since switching out the sway bar links. But there is NO more clunk.
This is great!!! We greased them up, put them together, and tightened the sway bar links until we couldn't anymore, and on my drive home, my commutes to and from work, have been awesome!!
If you have these sway bar link (Quick Release - they came with the Teraflex 1.5" lift) they will send you basic ones for FREE to install on your Renegade!!!
Great customer service. And now a smooth sounding ride!

    So....another update

Teraflex sway bar links are just crap, after posting the above update "thinking" and "hoping" that the noise was gone.
It has come back with a vengeance.
I called Daystar because I heard they have a bracket that will allow you to use the OEM sway bar links with a lift.
I have removed the Teraflex sway bar link (noise is gone - so I know for sure it is the sway bar links), and will be putting on the Daystar brackets with the OEM sway bar links on Saturday.
Will post back an update after that.
I am crossing my fingers this works.

Also, if you need someone to install or remove sway bar links (no matter how simple it is), I am quite the expert now - this will be my fourth set to install.

Do you have a link or product number for the bracket from Daystar? I am having the same issue with the ATP lift kit.

I’m having all the same problems with the end links. I have the 2” Avid lift.
I called Daystar today to inquire about the bracket GoRuggedtrails suggested. Sounded like a great option. Unfortunately, Daystar said it is only sold with the lift. They will not sell it individually. So unless your willing to spend $409 on a lift just to get a $20 bracket that option is out.
Anyone have a picture of the bracket or any additional ideas to make the OEM end links work?
I’m also open to other options but so far I’m very disappointed with all the others mentioned.
