    Very bittersweet post...I traded my toaster in for a Gladiator.
    20200314_154334.jpg
    I've had it for 4 years and have loved coming on this message board and sharing and learning and interacting with everyone on this site. The toaster was my first Jeep. I definitely used like it's supposed to be used in the mountains of NM. Toasters are definitely one of the most capable off road vehicles there are. It amazes me the places I've gone and trails I've been able to go on. People I've off roaded with have been blown away at what it can do. Every mod I did couldn't have been done with all of you and I thank you all for responding and posting.
    In the end I just couldn't turn down the deal I got. 7500 off the sticker price. Some deslershipsvare offer some great deals in these times and I took advantage of it. I got a Sport S model with a max tow package meaning it has the same Dana 44 heavy duty wide front and rear axles that the Rubicon has minus the locker and push button sway bar disconnect. It's a sweet truck. I'm glad I pulled the trigger.
    I hope to see you out on a trail some day.

    Nice, great color. Good luck with it and enjoy it. I have seen a lot of the Gladiators on the road here, they are going to be a top seller for Jeep. Your Renegade build came out nice, any major plans for the Gladiator?

    Yeah, but taking it slow. Definitely get some more aggressive tires, probably a 2 inch lift, winch bumper. Right now I've just been getting accessories. But i did win a ebay auction from quadratec from some rocker panel guards that look nice.

    Big tires on a Gladiator are easy to do, First full Saturday I had mine, I did the Mopar 2" lift and a set of Nitto 37's.

    Before doing anything;

    Parts!

    Half done;

    All done!

    For a little bit of scale, My JKU in front of it in this shot is on 35's with a 3.5" lift, and the gladiator is a good four inches taller..

    You can do 35's on a Gladiator with no lift at all...

    That looks really nice!!! I'm not sure what going to do. I read 35s rub when suspension is compressed. I just might throw 33s/34s on it and call it good. What bumper do you have? Is it the Tactic, that's the one I'm planning on getting.

    It's an EAG

    Pretty sure it's exact same bumper as the Tactik HD from Quadratec;

    I've read that 35's will rub with no lift too, but you have to be flexing pretty hard, and a little rubbin' isn't a big deal most of the time :)

    33's would probably look pretty good with no lift, and you get a lot wider selection than you do with 34s

    Haven't done much yet. won these N-fab rocker rails with detachable steps on an Ebay auction. They had some scratches on them but no big deal. Got them for a great price. I'm gonns wire power into my bed next week. I plan on getting some type of bed liner soon. It's gonna be my forever truck so i got plenty of time to do mods.

    I like those rails, and could really use detachable steps, I'm gonna have to check some of those out.

    Actually, The plates Are a Lie! It's going to be the wife's daily, but the VA DMV isn't currently open, so I haven't been able to change them, Those are the plates from the JKU I traded in.
