Hello my fellow Reney friends! Spent the past weekend installing the Avid 2" lift. First of all... holy crap did this job kick my ass but that's mainly because I did it all myself lol. There was definitely sweat poured, blood shed, curse words shouted, beer consumed... but in the end, it's installed and it gives a nice ride height. Tip: for anyone installing this kit or really any kit on the Renegade, you're absolute best friend will be an alignment punch, which I purchased at Home Depot in the beginning of the install. Holy crap was that thing a life saver in MANY areas of the install. So the only issue I saw once I dropped her off the jacks was the rear wheels camber are WAY negative (you can kind of tell by the pics) which is weird because the avid kit came with camber bolts which I installed on both the front and rear. Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm waiting on the new wheels and tires to arrive, then I'll get her to an alignment shop.
Good job, looks good. ... and the added satisfaction of doing it your self. Thanks for posting pictures.
The rear should have right around 1ยบ of negative camber, But if it's more than that you you should be able to dial some of that out with the camber bolts, Here's a video that explains it, jump ahead to about two minutes if you don't want to listen to the guy explaining why he is adding camber for running at the track.
