Hi gang, I'm new here and just picked up a slightly used 2019 Renegade with the Upland package. Had it about a week now. So far I'm loving this forum and the Renegade! However, I'm having issues with media USB port on the Uconnect 4 system (no Nav). I searched the forum and didn't find much about Uconnect. Anyway, the port was working fine at first, with a flash drive for MP3s and also hooked up to the phone with Android Auto. Then it was intermittent for a day or two, now the USB is dead. No power, no connectivity. Uconnect seems to be fine other than the USB port. Any suggestions before I haul it back in to the dealer? Thanks in advance!!
OK, I found some info on a Wrangler forum. Uconnect can be soft "rebooted" by holding down the voice and green phone buttons together on the steering wheel for 30 seconds while the engine is running and door closed. Just ignore the voice talking back to you, LOL After 30 seconds, shut down the Jeep. Wait for the touch screen to go black then open the door as if you were going to get out but don't. Close the door and restart the engine. Soft boot done, IT WORKED!!!!!! YAY!!!! Hope this info can be of some help to others. -Scotty
