After months of putting it off, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered some BFG KO2's. My original tires were getting pretty worn out, and I had over $40k miles on them. I took my jeep to a simple trail to test the traction, and my new air compressor. Discount Tire aired put the psi to 40, and I aired it down to 30 on the trail. These ride really nice in the dirt. Aired them back up to 40 psi at the bottom of the hill. Can't wait to do a more challenging trail, but hope to be travelling with others rather than solo. I'm slowly building my off road itinerary, feels good ... New Tires: BFG Goodrich KO2 225/65/R17 Old Tires : Falken H/T 215/65/R17
Sorry to necro this thread! I was just wondering how your long term experience with the 225/65/R17 KO2’s have been with no lift on your Trailhawk? I’m about to buy one and want to throw those on right away
I've only had my KO2's on for 3 month and haven't had a rubbing with no lift installed on my trail hawk but I've mostly only been on the beach and not running off road trails
W E L C O M E ! ! ! ... to the forum. I ran a set of 225/65/R17 KO2’s for about three years, about 40k before upgrading to a larger set of KO2’s. I like, very good tire, I live in the Sierra Mountains of California and used them on my Trailhawk as a daily driver. The tire saw Snow, mud, rocks, and logging trails often, and of course highway every day. They do trend to make a little more noise as they wear, but very tolerable.
That's great to hear. I'm going to be dealing with a ton of snow out here in Chicagoland and want to road trip down to some of the offroad trails/parks so I figured a 235/65/R17 KO2 could cover all that all while looking cooler.
