This one replaces the Sport that I dove off the road ( not in a good way)

This is the Sport. I nodded out and went down the bank. It doesn't look too bad but the insurance company totaled it.

Well Damn... That sucks, but congrats on the new Altitude. I've had a 2017 and 2019 Latitude 2.4L TigerShark. I'm waiting on my first turbo model to land at my local dealer so I can pick it up. I'm a little bummed that they seem to have dialed a lot of the features back this year. No more HID or LED Headlamps only the Halogens which of course can be fixed with a simple bulb replacement, but I also had a really hard time finding any with the Sun & Sound Package as I'm a big music fan and I wanted the upgraded radio as I have the Beats now in my 2019. Other than that I'm excited to hear the whoosh and pop of the turbo engine. Enjoy yours!

Looked at 3 new 2022 Trailhawks at dealer. None had a hitch.

I got a new 2021 Limited end of Feb and it has everything but a hitch.
Rather have hitch than sunroof (has sun and sound package).
The sound package has some speed adj deal, too much bass IMHO. The EQ is only 3 bands and I have the mid and upper bumped up and the speed adjust set at 1. Its not annoying set up like that.
    The LED headlights are awesome.

    2022 doesn't have that?

1.3L w turbo is OK on the road, if moving. From a dead stop that anemic powerplant and setup will get you killed if used to jumping out and gettin with it in traffic ( like my 5.2L ZJ ............zooooooooooooooom ).

I didn't pay attention to the sticker on the 2022. So dunno what is available.
Thought about trading mine in on a Trailhawk.
But if packages are downgraded some, will just keep my beercan.

Yeah I just picked mine up, it's not as anemic as I expected to be honestly. The Pedal Commander really gets it into boost a lot faster. The Headlamps no longer have an HID or LED option even in the limited they are all Halogen, and unfortunately I wasn't able to get the Sun & Sound Group either I got the convenience group which half of I'll more than likely never use. I don't need heated seats in Florida (not sure why a dealer down here would order them with that) the Lane Assist is DOG SHIT.., I can't stand being fought with by the car to change lanes so that's OFF, and the auto-start gave me a fault day one... I just turn it off anyway. My 2.4L was definitely quicker especially from a stop, but the Turbo model is faster mid-range and top end. The Turbo setup is so Over-Engineered. I should have looked around and realized there was no Intake options at all for it before I bought it. I love the way it looks, but I'm not completely sold on the complete package yet. Doubt I'll return it (3 day or 300 mile) return policy, but I may trade it in after a while. We shall see. Maybe once I get it make some noise I'll be happier.

Went to Jeep site to do a build 2 hrs ago LOL.
Been fighting computer due to MS update that took forever last night.
    Grrrrrr.

Anyway, looks like to get the upgrade stereo you gotta go with the sunroof package.
I don't want a freakin sunroof. Its a scorcher through the shade.
Temps down tonight, have to admit open top was nice.

But if I'm gonna keep the vehicle thats a potential leak and I don't want it.
Im midwest so heated seats could be nice. I'd be happy w reg leather and no heat.
But heck yeah I want the heated steering wheel (arthritis sucks, esp when matched w a physical job ).

Turbo, Trailhawk w leather, heated steering wheel, upgraded stereo and LED lights.
What I want. Can't order it.

Guess I'll be putting a hitch on my Limited.

Did go to dealer today to show the old lady the 2022 teal Trailhawk in the showroom.
    It was gone.

I'll have mine paid off next yr so may build a 2023 Trailhawk, trade mine in.

No spare tire when I got my 2021.
Looked for 5th factory wheel. Silly priced.
Quardratec had the Rugged Ridge Trek 8 rim on sale for 150 delivered.
So figured grab one for a spare. Thinking 225 60r17 Falken Trails.

    Factory is 215 60r17.
Tire calc says the new AT would be .4 wider and taller.

Read here or someplace else, that the rim would need spacers. Again, no big deal.
    Am thinking 10-12 mm.
Will get the spare next week and mount it (waiting for jack to come from dealer).

This is a bit of a PITA.
    This new Jeep.

I wish Procomp had the 1069 for Renegades. I ran them on my lifted XJ and ZJ.
Did pinch seam mod on the ZJ, yanked bumper cover, trimmed my XJ.
Quick and simple lift and body mods.

Im a bit leery about yanking the bumper cover on the Renegade to do the Renegade Ready hitch.
Me and plastic tend to have a violent relationship.

I only had the lane assist bump the wheel once, which was odd. I turned that off.
The mood lighting is so small and minimal, I see no reason for it.
The LED headlights are wonderful. Jury still out on the need for the helper turn stuff.
Its got plenty of visibility the way it is.

Havent tried the park assist yet. Mines 4 months old so I park well away from others.
    Well I try.

Amazingly, I'll be out in the boonies of a parking lot and some dweeb will have to park next to me.
    With half the lot empty.
    Not kidding.

No dings yet....but I think the thin metal is gonna get bashed soon enough.

Honest update… I’m loving the 2022. Now that I have a temporary intake done while I wait for the prototype I designed to be made it’s picked up significantly. Going this week at some point to get a cat-back made. I just want to remove the factory cat-back and build a 3” section from the clamp to dump out right in front of the left rear wheel essentially under the rear driver door with a nice tip. Have a feeling with the cat in place it’ll be just enough for some decent sound without being to loud and assist in spooling a little quicker as well. [IMG]

About got wiped out a week ago. Old timer cut across without looking.
Brakes work pretty good on my beer can!

If it ever gets smunched I'll get a new one. Dealer has only had one 2022 Trailhawk. And Ive seen one other 22 Limited on the lot.
Both were gone in a day or two.

I wonder if the brakes are the same size as 2021.
Tried a RR Trek 8 on my '21 today and it fit flush, but was contacting the front caliper guard.
    So I need a spacer.

Concern is wheel well fitment, since rim is 1" wider. Looks like a 5mm spacer will give "factory" caliper clearance.
Dunno if thicker will cause rub issues.
    Try mocking up again tomorrow.

    "Auto start fault"

Mine came on, after I jumped my old JZ w the beercan.

Hood was latched but not down fully on pass side. Re closed and "fixed".

    Learn sumpthin new every day.

Ultimately the ZJ got a new battery and cleaned the clamps.

Crazy I had the same issue on the way home from the dealership. Auto start fault, and then on the highway I noticed the hood seemed to be moving around a bunch. Pulled over and realized one side wasn’t latched properly. Haven’t had the issue again since.
