Got a new 2021 Limited. Not gonna lift it. Factory wheels are 17" x 7" Going with Rugged Ridge Trek 8. They're 17" x 8" . Looking at Falken Wildpeak AT Trails at 225 60R17. Haven't mounted any tires yet to check for spacer need (or not). Wondering if anybody has run that wheel. Offset is 30 and I think the factory wheels are 40. Sure do miss my XJ and ZJ stuff. Grab some 1069 Procomp 15s and slap whatever on em (all of those rigs were lifted and wheeled). This Renegade is NOT going to be wheeled, just a hunting/fishing buggy so may get off in a picked field a little ways. Figured a mild AT the way to go. Didn't know if any all season 3 peak rated was worthy.
Finally tried a test fit. Sits flush against hub, but just contacts the caliper. So am gonna test again to see if a 5mm spacer is enough, or if I can go 17mm. The new rims are 8" wide w +30 offset. Right or wrong, Im thinking the factory are 40. So it should be same clearance on inside, but project total an inch out. Concern is rub at lock. Guess ya dunno til you test fit. Info on this wheel, and checking other forums, has been a bust. One guy ran em and said he ran spacers........old post and didn't say what spacer he ran. Grrrrrrrr. Amazing so many places sell this wheel and nobody posts diddly about em as far as usage.
May work w 5mm spacer. Hub lip looks to be 15mm projection. So 10mm left for the wheel w a 5mm spacer... if thats within spec.
