That's one of the upgrades that I'm interested in. How it's your MySky treating you? Is the auto "better" than the manual. A huge sun roof vs a wrangler-esque bikini top. Thanks.

I love it as do my kids. They (and I) think it's the coolest thing. I don't think it's as open as the wrangler obviously, but it suits my needs. I chose the renegade for it's overall functionality. I still do love the look of the "naked" wrangler though.

I, too, like the "naked" look. And love that I can get something similar to it on a better ride, fuel economy, price of a wrangler. I have access to a 4 dr wrangler. It's nice but sucks down the gas and is an "interesting" ride. The noise is something. BUT the "naked" no door ride is ridiculously enjoyable.

I really like my powered MySky. It's not a must have but I think if you're going to get one, get the powered version. I have yet to remove the rear panel except to try it out in my garage. If I had the full manual version I'm positive I'd never remove the panels so it would be a waste.

I have the manual mysky. It's not horrible to open and it's nice to have the option. I'm getting good at stowing them in the bag and putting them back on in a rush.
I like to think of it as less likely to break as there really isn't a mechanism.

I have actually never owned any vehicle with a sunroof before. My girlfriend just got a Dodge Dart about 7 days before me and after riding in her car with the sunroof open, I was sold. The power My Sky is something I use almost everyday now. I love it!!!

I didn't realize how nice the powered one would be until my cousin's husband bought a trailhawk. I still love the manual though.

Would you get the power option if you had it to do over again? I like the simplicity of manual. Like you said, less likely to break because no motor.

I probably would. I only have the mysky because it was the only 4wd 6spd there and I got a deal on the car. When I take it out and plan on going anywhere, I have to take both out and keep all the windows down or I get nasty pressure fluctuation. The power roof has a little wind deflector that pops up. But on the plus side, it's simpler. The power mysky is a new system and I'm not sure if any problems will arise. Sorry to be long winded. I say get it, as you get open air without having to deal with a 150lb top, and you can bring it with you.

Oh no. Please elaborate. I would have never thought of a large pressure change. I definitely getting a my sky. I'm still leaning towards a manual. But tiping towards the power. Hmmm.

The wind buffeting issue is well documented.

Indeed it is. Basically, all the windows down with both panels out is no problem.

I just got my trailhawk earlier this month. I never had a sunroof in any other car before, but now that I've got it. I absolutely love it! I've got the power my sky and it's awesome. Haven't taken the panels off yet though. Just waiting till I absolutely know it's not gonna rain on me.

There was one day I had all the panels off and windows down, and I had to sprint outside and put them back on because it stared to downpour.

Power MySky here. I love it. I rarely take both panels out. I will, on occasion, take the back panel out and open the front. It cuts down on the buffeting and pressure issues. I also have very dark tint in the back, so if I have to park it anywhere I can close the front and you can't tell the back is open.

Also, living in Phoenix, it gets HOT. Being able to vent the roof helps pull air through and cool the inside down quicker without having to open a window or open the roof entirely

What he said. Here in Austin, we have some bad heat too. Humidity more recently, and popping the vent helps take some of the heat from these super black seats!!

I use my power top daily. Multiple times. I'll be pulling my tops off officially in July for my 1st trail ride (finally) but I've got a spidershade I can pop on, not too concerned about noise, as the MySky (powered) was almost the main reason I bought this instead of a JK or a KL. just can't deal with the KLs front end. Everything but that is super sexy.

The power has parts that are mechanical, sure, but nothing the warranty shouldn't be able to handle! I know my MaxCare covered sunroof parts, and glad cause they aren't cheap to replace!!

I'm in Austin also. I use my window in my rear windshield almost daily. I had a sunroof on a sports car years ago. I'm leaning back towards power mysky. My manager showed me hers and I liked the push button ease.

It was a sunny, 90 degree day yesterday, so we popped the panels out and took the country roads on our way out and back. I think we take the roof out just about any opportunity we can and love it.
