I just had the bracket fail on my lift, it was a bracket that was NOT INCLUDED in the recall. I know enderaz had the same problem a little while ago. http://toasterjeep.com/index.php?threads/not-a-good-day.758/

So I urge you to contact Daystar for replacement brackets if yours do not have the full weld around both the inner and outer sides

Here is a pic of the brackets they sent wayalife next to original non-recalled brackets

That bracket shouldn't have any weld,
It should be one piece construction like the original bracket.Im shure Daystar put safety before profits and tested this latest one.. just like the first two attempts that failed at your risk, what lets make it 3 strikes then your out. This shouldn't of happened in the first place people!!
    BOO for Daystar

One of the main reasons I just ordered the G-Force lift for my Trailhawk. I dont want to mess with BS bracket failures, permanently cutting skidplates, and swaybar endlinks that wont stay tight.

I don't think people should be crash test dummies for Daystar. When the brackets fail they give you a $50 gift card?Give us a break!!Or better yet , they'll pay you to find some HACK welder, who doesn't have a clue about the stresses welding puts on steel. This bracket is prone for failure adding more weld isn't going to fix it safely,It's just going to add more stress points that will eventually fail.
Daystar needs to put on their big boy pants, redesign those brackets and do it right period!!

Not that I'm trying to defend Daystar here but clearly, you are new to Jeeps and this is the first one you've ever modified if you really think this bracket shouldn't have any welds on it. Clearly, the original bracket was manufactured poorly but the new bracket should hold up just fine.

You'll forgive me but ANYTHING can and WILL break if you play hard enough. Also, that looks like a small spacer plate and that's hardly what I would consider a "drop" bracket" like what I would prefer to help correct suspension geometry. But, this is your Renegade and I'm glad that you got a product that you're happy with.

LOL!! Not sure what Daystar did to you to have such a hard-on for them or maybe it's just that you're a forum messiah that feels the need to save people from them but I think we all get it - YOU DON'T LIKE DAYSTAR.

That being said, I have been running their kit with their old brackets and NEVER had a failure. Does that mean I never would? Nope, I probably would have especially after seeing these other breaks. That being said, I now have their new brackets and I have confidence that it will hold up just fine. Certainly, I have a TON of welded brackets on my 2 JK's and they hold up just fine too. Granted, I'm just a mall crawler and wouldn't know much about any of this stuff.

The bracket failures are total BS, I'm with you there 100% but you're kidding if you really think that the little notch I cut out on my skid plate is even worth mentioning. As far as the sway bar end links go, I honestly don't have a clue as to what you're talking about. I disconnect mine for the trail and the nuts are always as tight as when I last reinstalled them. Maybe you just need to use a wrench with more leverage to make up for what you can't muscle in by hand.

Why don't you be the official crash test dummy and when it fails you can do one of your famous write ups from the hospital bed."but that just my opinion "do what you want"

LOL!! Sorry, wasn't trying to get your panties in a bunch. It just seemed odd to me that you have such a hard on for Daystar that you feel it necessary to save the world from them and their products. As for me, I'm hardly a jack of all trades and unlike you, I would never claim to be a master of anything. The most I can do is just share what I've seen and experienced. And, since you seemed to have missed it, I specifically stated that "the bracket failures are total BS". I've also stated that the breaks are "inexcusable". If that amounts to me "coming to the rescue" of Daystar, well, I guess you're free to believe whatever it is you want to believe. :)

LOL!! My apologies for exaggerating - you're just trying to save other "Renegade owners" from buying a Daystar lift. And, by the way you've been pissy posting again and again and again about it, you sure sound just like a forum messiah or at least to me anyway. But hey, you've demonstrated yourself to be some kind of expert here and so your opinion must clearly matter.

Where have I've said to other renegade owners not to buy from daystar? As for posting too much on a subject, I didn't know the limit to stay politically correct on this forum.

Oh, I'm sorry, I suppose I mistook your pissy posts about Daystar using Renegade owners as "crash test dummies" a your "BOO for Daystar" as being condemnation for them and their lift.

Never said you were posting "too much", just that you were "pissy posting" again and again and again like a forum messiah. I just couldn't figure out what Daystar did to you to set you off on a jihad against them. But hey, that's just what I've been seeing. Have a good weekend.
