Hello everyone. I thought I would share some details about my roof rack setup and the mysky on my renegade. I have the xl Rhino rack mounted to the Thule aeroblade crossbars. With some slight hardware modifications I am now able to operate the mysky with no problems.

I swapped out the bottom part of the 2 front brackets that came with the Rhino rack for the Thule xadapt 9 brackets. I just used the actual bracket though. None of the thule hardware. I ended applying some foam weather stripping to the thule bracket but I dont think you really need to. And for the hardware I went out and got (2) 1/4 x 2 in hex bolts and (2) 1/4 in nylon locking nuts to secure everything.

Sorry if this isnt thorough enough. :/
Let me know if there are any questions.

You rock! Thanks for the great info for those of us with the MySky, but still want a lower profile cargo basket setup. Now I need to go spend some money, haha.

Good call. I was able to get my similar rack on my bars using the OEM bracket but I scraped the roof once trying to set the brackets. Right now my bars are a little far apart to accommodate the mysky, but I just ordered the brackets so I can bring them closer to the manufacturer 21"-30"

Thanks Nina, the setup looks great. This makes me happy as I will probably add a rack towards the end of the year and really wanted the flushmount Thule bars to work out somehow, so thanks for this!

Finally got around to doing this over the weekend. It's a must! I moved the rack back far enough to where it is not visible when the front panel is open. Huge difference in wind noise both open and closed! Before when the basket was over the front opening it to me was almost unbearable to ride with it open. Now it's pretty much back to normal before the basket maybe even a little better.

Inset mine so the front of the rack is even with the back of the opening up top. Really did help with the noise.

The pictures aren't working for me. Sorry for digging this thread up but I am more so wanting to make sure that the Thule Aeroblade Edge bars will work with the MySky roof? I've seen conflicting answers. I'm not so concerned with a basket at this time.

    Thanks!

They will work. For the mysky to work though, you will need to use the thule brackets I listed above just in the front so there is enough clearance for the roof to slide back.
