So after having the Daystar lift professionally installed...I have some pretty severe creaking in the rear, mainly driver side best I can tell. 1. I've read some have had similar issue and was resolved by lubricant or adjusting the spring placement, if I'm not mistaken. Anyone experience this and know how to resolve? After the lift, the shop took it to alignment where they were unable to get it to specs. Most of what they told me sounds a lot like what you guys experienced early on. (Camber bolts, have to discuss with Daystar, etc) Granted they had never aligned a Renegade, much less a lifted one. The rear toe is whack! 2. I told the lift mechanic when he took it to alignment to inform them there are 2 adjustment points in the rear...Guess he felt it better to "let them do what they do" and force me to reeducate them, take more time off work, and make more inconvenient efforts to make sure they know what they're doing. Anyone have anything to add as far as alignment other than the 2 adjustment points before I head back over there? There are far too many of you guys with no issues...these were my concerns dealing with folks that haven't messed with Renegades before, but felt they may be more open to information!
Sway bar was loose! 98% of my creaking is gone. Mechanic drove it around, lifted it and checked "everything" and not until we had it back on the ground and I grabbed hold of the rear driver side spring and shook the shit out of the Jeep was he able to see it was the sway bar. He grabbed it and shook it and that was the sound. One of the Daystar Brackets rest against the fuel tank cover and that makes some noise, but it was the sway bar that was really troubling. On this note...My exhaust pipe was dinged up pretty good as well...looked like that could have been making some noise as well. Didn't do anything about that. Now the only noise I really hear is a rattling when reversing and then idling. #weird
Swaybar seems to be my issue, but an open end wrench isn't enough, might have to bite the bullet and take it in again.
