Yeah, they checked, both on the wheels and in the box. They did NOT come with them. They should have, but since I ordered those wheels special, maybe the forgot... Who knows. The size will be going from the 65.1 hub bore on the renegade to the 72.6 for the Fuel wheels.... Hope that fixes it. I'm driving it with the lift and spacers on the factory wheels/tires until they come in. The ride is perfect. Just like before I had any work done.
dee, were your wheels 17x9? If they were 17x8 instead do you think you would have had to run the spacers? Im wondering if I can go 16x8 Fuels with about the same offset as your set, with a 225/75/16 tire and not have to run the spacers.
They are 17" x 8".5. I believe I would have been fine with 8" wheels and no spacers, judging by the room I have now...
Looking at either the Boost or the Revolver, both available in 16x8 and I believe they will fit without hitting the strut so no need for spacers. My lift is being installed Friday morning so the shop will do some measurements and we're going to try and decide what we can fit
Any wheelset that they have as a blank they will drill to whatever bolt pattern you need for $20 extra per wheel. If they dont offer the wheel as a blank then it wont be an option for our Jeeps.
Dee, sorry for all the questions. Is there any reason you went with 17" wheels specifically? Im really struggling with 16 vs 17 and cant decide. Id really like to be able to run the Cooper Discoverer Pros in 16" but everyone I have seen running them had to trim the pinch seam a little bit and im not willing to do that at this point. More wheel choices available in 17 but there is only really one tire that fits without trimming, the KO2.
The only real reason I did it is because I wanted the fuel wheels that I chose and they didn't come in a 16". Plus, I had already decided on those BFG tires. There is a toyo open country tire in a 235 65r 17 that is only .5" larger. I was told that I could fit that without trimming anything, but I stuck with the BFG's to be on the safe side. Check out the size difference between the coopers and the toyo's and see. I know it is a HUGE decision. I struggled with it for months before pulling the trigger and things still didn't go smooth after all of my research. Running spacers hasn't ended up being bad...yet. They are good quality. I've taken a couple of 1000 mile road trips with no issues (knock on wood). I may end up switching out my Fuel's for some HD heist wheels down the road to lose the spacers. Just depends on how things go with them during the next year or so...

No problem! I plan to use the wheel calculators. I know the stock wheel has a 40mm offset and is 7" wide. If I switch to the HD, which is 8" wide, the offset should be a little less, which it is. Plus it doesn't hurt that I know a couple of guys are running those wheels and didn't need spacers. Plus, the Heist has the exact same hub bore as stock wheels, so that's a bonus. That sounds good for a 17" wheel. What I'm really curious about is the minimum offset required for a 16" wheel to clear the calipers of a TrailHawk. If stock is 40mm and people are running 1" spacers, offset probably needs to be somewhere around 10-15mm to clear the larger calipers.
well, I know that wayalife is running the 16" HHR wheels and 1.25" spacers right? You could try and look up the offset on those HHR steelies and plug those figures in there, then ask him to measure the clearance with his spacers. That would sort of give you a better idea of what you'll need the offset on your choice of wheels to be. I think... right? I'm bad at math. That's why I chose art as a profession....
Haha I'm good at math, just don't quite understand how to figure out clearance for calipers and strut without guessing. I guess I can look up the offset on the HHR wheels and subtract 25.4 for roughly an inch of spacer to get a rough idea. Right?
