Is the KO2 225/65/17 the only aggressive AT tire that we can run on our stock TrailHawk wheels? Ive seen the GeoLanders, but am looking for something more along the lines of the BFG.

Ive knocked out Discoverers, Toyos, Nittos, and some of the other well known tires because of the sizing. Anything else I may be missing?

To clarify, at this point not looking to go down to 16" wheels. That may change, but id like to stick with my wheels at least for awhile.

You could go with the Cooper Discoverer AT3 if you wanted a little more size. 235/65R17. Also I have see people say they got BFG 245/70R17 with a lot of cutting. I liked the BFGs better and didn't want to do a lot of cutting.

When we were shopping to buy the one we ended up with a few weeks ago, 2016s had Falkens on them.

Do the Cooper AT3s need spacers and pinch seams?

Daystar says no, but I would do it, I have the BFG 225/65R17s and I have a slight rub at the pinch seam. Not the best picture, but you can see where the dirt is rubbed off. 20160420_201052.jpg

I have Cooper Discoverer AT3s with the Daystar lift. You need spacers to clear the strut. It also needs the pinch seam cut (and then some). Even with all that, once in a while I will notice an occasional rub (e.g., hard brake with just the right wheel turn).

What size are your AT3's? Got a pic of them on the Renny?

Sure. They are 235/65R17s. 225s are likely a better bet (oh hindsight). Here's a pic (loading up for a Yosemite trip):

Very nice! Do you have a lift and spacers? Is there any rubbing/issues? I am a fan of Coopers as I had them on my Suburban and they were amazing! Currently I have a non-th with the 18" 75th wheels but looking to get a spare set of rims for off-roading.

Thanks for the replies everybody, looks like I will be sticking with the KO2s in 225. Until my 5 year warranty is up on everything I wont be doing any cutting of any kind on the pinch seams.

I love the look and possibility of fitting larger wheels/tires, but at this point i'm not looking to do any permanent body mods.
