i just purchased a 2015 sport 4x4 with the 2.4L . i saw someone has some rims from a trail hawk not to far from me for sale and i believe they are 17" tires and rims.

from looking at another thread i saw this info but i am unclear forgive me i am not a tire guy.
    Standard on Sport / Latitude
    Size: 215/65R16 BSW All-Season
Make & Model: Continental CrossContact LX Sport
    Revs/Mile: 749 (464km)

    Standard on Trailhawk
    Size: 215/65R17 OWL All-Season
Make & Model: Goodyear Wrangler SRA or Falken Wildpeak
    Revs/Mile: 722 (448km)

    My questions are

    1. Will they fit?
    2. Do i have to to have the speedometer reprogrammed? I do not understand the Rev/Mile thing. the 17 inch has 722 and the 16 inch has 749. how does this affect things?
    3. Any difference in gas mileage?
    4. Is there anything I should consider such as pro's and con's?

    thanks guys and gals

The tires/wheels should be fine. A lot of people have switched out to 225/65/17 and have had no problems whatsoever. To try and answer your questions:

    1. They will fit.
    2. Right now there is no way to reprogram speedometer/odometer. To go a mile on the 17's it will turn 722 times, the 16's will turn 749 times to cover the same distance. These are just examples - if the 16's show 65mph on the speedometer, with the 17's your actual speed may be 67 or 68 mph. That is something you may have to consider but it is not a major difference in mph. Covering a mile with the 17's might show slightly less on the odometer but I doubt you would really notice it. I went from 215/60/17 to 215/65/17 and I really can't tell the difference. I have had no effect on gas mileage.
    3. Might be some difference, the TH tires (SRA, not sure about the Fallen) are more aggressive but not a lot.
    4. Pro - most likely more aggressive tire, maybe better life, my continentals barely made 30k, not very good and they are not a cheap tire. Slight increase in ride height, about an inch. Fill the wheel well better. Cons - how many miles on the TH tires?

There is 5000 miles on the tires on the tires for sale and from the picture the tread looks good. My tires appears to be original with 21000 miles the tread is still ok but I just do not like the rims on the sport they are the standard basic black cheapos but I like the OEM rims from the trail hawk

I just saw the for sale thread. Looks like a good deal to me. That is a good deal for 5 rims and tires.
