My 2016 jeep renegade sport at 5000 miles is knocking! I can go any speed coast for 15 seconds then apply the gas and it makes a clunky knock then goes away. I've been to the service center 6 times they changed the belt tensioner and belt serpentine. Unfortunately it didn't work, they then ordered a special part from the factory called a chassis ear to diagnose where the sound was coming from. They were able to identify the sound was coming from the belt tensioner. Now next week they're planning on changing the belt tensioner again. Does anyone know what it could be? The dealerships service said they won't be able to fix it if it's not the belt tensioner, they say the noise is not significant and can be a common characteristic of the vehicle? However I demanded to drive a 2017 jeep renegade with the services man and there was no noise present so it's obviously not a common sound. Is anyone else having the same problem or has a solution please reply

Lemon law could be a possible solution. If they can't fix something after 3 tries it may qualify.

Good advice I just went through the lemon law process with Rico arbitration on my own, with no attorney and I won!!!! Chrysler's customer care service was horrible, they tried to call it a common characteristic. They replaced my drive belt twice and I had the specialist from Chrysler come out to diagnose it and he said it was the vacuum pump knocking but they refuse to repair the vacuum pump because it was functioning properly in his words. They told me the car was fine and there was nothing more they could do for me.
Chrysler now has to pay me back every penny I paid for my jeep -$2000 for mileage offset.
I encourage anyone that thinks they have a lemon to file lemon law!
