Fresh off the trail with a couple of the other Phoenix based members and my Dad in his 04 Rubicon... Had a blast. OI000004.jpg OI000001.jpg

Definitely. I have a buddy who had a 4x4 latitude I believe but since it's slightly lower I dunno if he'll be able to do bulldog without scraping a lot.

We have a friend with one of the non-TH 4x4s too, probably will encourage her to go. Her father would love to tag along in his Ramcharger I'm sure.

How long did it take you guys to make the run? Was anything serious enough to really need the four wheel drive, or was it more about simple ground clearance?

It's pretty rocky... We couldn't go from Bush hwy to Apache Trail. Part of FR 10 was gated. So we turned around and came out at the Usery Pass gate... Took like 3.5 hours

I think if you took it slow of some of the rougher stuff, you should be good. But without the armor underneath, any scrape is gonna be cringy lol

I think they would be able to do that first half of the trail from bush highway, then instead of going to where we had to turn around, take that right down the wash to usery pass. Those sections didn't seem too rough and should be doable

Let me know when you guys are planning another ride. I don't mind making a road trip from Los Angeles. My days off are Sat-Mon.

Here's a video of the trail. It's mostly sped up with some actual speed moments mixed in.

Is it wrong that I want to set that video as-is to the tune of "Yakety Sax" used on The Benny Hill Show?

Havent done many trails yet, I have a stock sport 4x4 with oversized AT tires. Is this doable without skids?

Bulldog might be an issue if you aren't careful, I haven't been to The Rolls yet but its not rated as a very difficult trail
