Yep! Sometimes I have to fight the wife to get the JK on the weekends though ;)

I have been lucky to drive three wrangler models started in 1994 with a jy wrangler traded up to a tj in 1998 and my present jk in 2009.
Past vehicle history points to a jl wrangler depending on what the new jeep is like and price?
How the cost of a wrangler has soared I may not even be able to afford one ;( so the Renegade may be a favorable replacement ;)

All previous posts have good points. It comes down to how you're going to be using it.

I went from an 08' JK unlimited rubicon on 33 inch tires to my 17' desert hawk.

Pros of the DH: Fuel economy, ride comfort, technology (Nav, push to start, I never have to take my keys out of my pocket (sensors in door handle to unlock, little button on handle to lock), bluetooth pairing with phone so no more aux cord, heated seats and steering wheel, nicer interior in general) NOTE* I do have a basically fully-loaded renegade, so keep that in mind..

Cons of the DH: It's not as bad ass, not as much of a head-turner (at least compared to my tricked out rubicon) not an off-roader (it can do it, but it's not made for it) chicks don't like it as much as the rubicon, can't take the top off (mysky panels don't compare to the real deal), and most importantly - you can't drive it through 2 feet of water - see this thread https://toasterjeep.com/index.php?threads/deserthawk-is-not-a-river-hawk.1860/page-2#post-16165

My opinion; If you don't do much highway driving and like to do real 4x4'ing, do it.
