I'm installing eibach springs and the avid 2". From what I've seen with most spacer kits, the front strut spacers holes align with the holes original strut position. The avid 2" and 1.5" have offset holes. Can anyone explain how they got the holes to align correctly? The only way I have found to rotate the top piece was to compress the spring again and back off the center nut a little so it had enough give to rotate the top piece.

Also, I only trimmed the bottom of the strut on the rear side per Avid's picture. Did anyone trim more than just that side (on the rear side closest to the door)?

Edit: So I trimmed all the way around the strut lip for clearance with the CV and I think the reason the top of the strut wasn't rotating was because of the lack of lubrication on the bearings in the internal ring.

New problem. With the eibach springs and the 2" spacers, I can get the top strut assembly to loosely thread, but cannot get the bottom support of the strut to fit into place. The CV is in the way and will not go any lower. I tried using a spring compressor to compress the springs a little, but that did not seem to work. I'll need to try again when it's light out and I have more patience. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Seriously rethinking taking it into a shop.
