Very nice... Very nice pictures. The 2" lift you are talking about, is that the 1.5" Avid lift and springs you added? Being wondering what the difference is with their 2" vs their 1.5" lift. Like the bumpers, how much more does the front bumper stick out as compared to the factory one? What your MPG with all that extra weight?
Your Renegade sure looks a lot different from a couple of months ago. Nice job!!! I hope you took some videos as I have enjoyed the ones you have posted.
I've been following your progress through Moab on Instagram all week. You guys definitely put the Renegade through it's paces and I'm still speechless about the capabilities of this thing. My Avid Radius front bumper will be in my hands in a couple of days and I'm on the list for the Radius rear and tire carrier bumper. I cant wait to get these installed on my DesertHawk. I'm curious to know how you access your winch controls? I'm installing a VR-8s on mine and have been thinking of either relocating the control pack to under the hood or installing a wireless controller for it. The thing that still has me puzzled is how I'm going to access the clutch engagement knob.
This is amazing. I was wondering if the prerunner bumper had holes for extra lights. Looks great. Was the transmission in "rock" mode the entire time?
The prerunner bumper looks awesome. My question is can you confirm if that is your crossmember sticking out on the sides of the bumper?
That is the cross member sticking out on both sides. when i get mine im going to have extension plates welded to the skid plat to give it some protection.
I have the same headlights on my Renny. They are the Opt7 Outlaw X. You can get them on Amazon. They have some options for purchasing: Headlights without bulbs of any kind $499.99. Headlights with HID bulbs $559.99. Headlights with LED bulbs 599.99. I went with the full LED kit, and they are pretty much plug and play. They come with everything you need to plug them into the factory lighting harness and once you have the front bumper off, they literally take 15 minutes to install. All you have to do once they are in is aim them. Nice sharp clean cut-off pattern with plenty of light output. I replaced my DRL's with conventional amber bulbs as I rather like the looks but I will probably switch over to white CANBus LEDs for use in my Radius bumper. The only negative side effect I have is with conventional bulbs in the DRL's the car tells me I have a blown DRL bulb and the white "X" in the headlights will not light up. My solution to this was to shut off the DRL's in the vehicle settings and everything works like normal. Installed these three days after driving home from the dealer and I personally love the look of these especially with the full black grille on the Deserthawk.
I think it looks amazing, great job! I have a question about the rear Radius bumper. Is it easy to install? On the Avid site it says it doesn't require cutting or trimming so does that mean it just bolts right on? Is it sturdy then? I'm looking to buy it because my TH doesn't have a hitch and the hitch conversion kit isn't that much cheaper than the entire new bumper.
The Contour doesn't require any cutting. The Radius does. Edit: Nevermind. Just saw you meant the rear. I was talking about the fronts.
