Hi, former owner of 2016 Renegade Trailhawk and current owner of 2017 Renegade Latitude 1.4T.

Searched for this topic under gauge cluster, body computer, proxi or proxy alignment, but didn't see anything.

Trying to figure out how to get the body computer code (5 digit), which is required to be able to do a proxi (proxy) alignment.

Would like to do this myself rather than go to the dealer. Also I've not tried tremendously hard but the dealer probably won't just give out the code.

I really want the nicer color 7" display in the gauge cluster (since my TH had it) and also would like the automatic climate controls...

if no proxi alignment after these upgrades, the odometer blinks.

Can use alfaobd software with an OBD MX interface to do a proxi alignment yourself, if you have the right code.

Has anyone read the service manual and does it say anything about how to get the body code? I wish it was something easy like last 5 of the VIN.

    Thanks :)

You have to have access to the factory tester to change or modify the proxy but a lot of aftermarket testers like Autel or launch will do the proxy alignment . I work on other Italian cars with the same can architecture and it’s a pain to change the proxy usually involves someone from the factory to get involved . The proxy alignment just has the body computer remind all of the other modules what is equipped on the car .
