20170923_081458.jpg 20170923_080515.jpg So I'm not a mechanic. I can wrench my way around if needed. I've done a head gasket job, for example. I can do engine stuff. So I saw the write up on this forum about the Daystar lift and thought, "No problem." Bought it off ebay for $311. Front left went on no problem. Took me about an hour...then...working on the front right and I could not get the strut assembly to line up with the steering knuckle. I had the knuckle on some 4x4s and kicked them accidentally and it dropped and pulled the axle out. Couldn't get the axle popped back in because I thought the weight of the brake caliper kept on pulling it. So I decided to take the caliper off. Snapped the bolt in half. So I'm done and my transmission had to be replaced under warranty so I called up the dealership and they said they could install the rest. They installed the lift for $650, alignment for $200, and the rest in parts and tax and I'm into it for $1000. The technician said it's the first they've installed on a Renny and it was a pain. I called around to local 4x4 shops and they had never installed one either. I might have the first in Albuquerque.
After the alignment it's not perfect but I think I can live with it as long as I rotate tires enough. Pic of alignment specs attached. Also have pic of lifted Renny without ko2s on, getting put on now will post when I get them on. 20170923_081624.jpg

I wish I would've taken a picture, but the actual spacers were not 1.5 inches. It was closer to 1.75 inches. It drives nice. So far gas mileage is about the same in town, though will need more of a time frame to get more accurate measurements. Debating on whether or not to put on the 1 1/4 spacers I had purchased. Originally planned on putting 16s on but decided against it. The KO2s are 225 65 17. The lift instructions said I would be able to fit on 235 65 17. Was thinking about getting the Hankook A/T Dynapro 235s. Maybe I'll get that size the next set of tires???

Awesome setup! I think this is the route I'll probably take.
